I love the softness of this and the contrast between the blue-white and the dress and the blue-black of the scales is very striking. Can't help but imagine Nienor is giving him the finger with the hand we can't see.
Oh my gosh, I think I know what scene this is. Nienor, from her posture, looks as if she's struck motionless by the sight of Glaurung. And you can feel it when you look at this; there is something about this Father of dragons that really draws you in and makes you pay attention to him.
Great picture that captures the essence of the scene. I like the misty clouds around Glaurung's head - and also the fact that you can feel what is going on inside Nienor, even though you cannot see her face.
Perfect! The contrast between the two figures is great, as if the air IS crystal clear where she stands, light and sharp, but Glaurung's breath just putrefies the air around his heavy and fogged body. Wonderful!
